Day Seven

Not much to see here

I did a lot of selling today. Partly because it’s been one week, and partly because a lot of my stocks, both up and down, met the terms of my “algorithm.”

Over this first week, I made exactly 37 trades, all in amounts of $10 or less.

After one week, I had made an average of exactly .6% profit on my sales to date. Portfolio value of remaining shares almost identical to when I started. During this same time period, the Russell 2000 Index showed a 1.2 % gain.

So, I’m not beating it yet.

Then again, I was still figuring out things when I started. If I had applied the simple “rules” that I developed from the beginning of the week onward, I would have made a weekly return of 2.35% — effectively double the Russell 2K over the same time period. Ain’t hindsight grand?

And may I repeat? At least I didn’t lose money.

Eager to try this over again, with a brand new selection of stocks (and some of the same old favorites). Assuming the markets aren’t in total turmoil after today’s stinker of a presidential debate.
